About the Green Power Group

Established: 2014

Mission

The Green Power Group is an excellent platform to discuss best practices to determine the best way of approaching the continuous developments and changes brought by the Mexican Energy reform bill. The group promotes companies involved in such practices and supports them to make the adequate decisions and transitions to promote eco-friendly energy sources. The group strives to reduce dependency on fossil fuels to promote a sustainable economy.

Vision

To be a key influencer impacting decision making processes within the green power sector in Mexico.

In light of the Energy Reform Bill in Mexico taking place in July 2014, several member companies of the British Chamber of Commerce in Mexico created a BSG called Green Power Group, dedicated specifically to the renewable energy sector.

The Energy Reform – Feedback from the Private Sector after first Quarter of Operation

The Challenges of Social Impact of Energy Projects in Mexico ; in collaboration with the Energy Group.

Aguascalientes International Energy Forum On Monday 27 and Tuesday 28 February 2017, the British Chamber of Commerce and its Green Power Group participated in the Aguascalientes International Energy Forum (Foro Energético Internacional Aguascaliente Mx). This was the group’s first initiative of the year and the goal was to increase its presence within the Mexican Republic, particularly in the Bajio Region.
